102 days left!!!
We have roughly 102 days or 3 months and 12 days left till we welcome our son, Dorian Xavier Lambert. (provided he actually shows up on time)
So the last 6 months have been kind of hectic. I’ve been feeling run down and to my not so happy surprise, still throwing up. I’m not sure why and, I’m kind of tired of never knowing whether my dinner is going to stay down or not. We have officially registered at three different places with basicaly all the same things to ensure that no matter where people decide to get somerhing from, it will be the same things. (I know I’m risking getting duplicates)
I’ve caught a lot of flak from my mother in law because she doesn’t think that I should be cloth diapering. I want to tell her “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn” because it is our choice on what we want to do for our baby. I did the disposable diapering the first time around and honestly it felt wasteful. I’ve been trying to green up my life and home, mostly because we keep treating the earth like we’ve got another one to go to after we use this one up. Also, I just want to try a different method. I have friends that have done it and honestly it looks cool. I like the fact that I can put a black cloth diaper on my kid or a bright yellow one and not some weird plasticy thing that I’m not sure what it’s made of. We are asking that if you want to get us diapers to either get the flushable inserts (for travel) or more prefolds and cloth inserts.
We try to email documents when possible and we use an email based fax. I carry copies of our docs on my cloud drive and email them to the doctor and what not so I’m not dragging paper around.
Also, I’ve only gained 7 lbs… 7 LBS!!! I’m probably going to gain more than my first pregnancy where I only gained a total of 11 lbs since I still have 3 months left and these are the months this baby gains the most lbs. The doctor is impressed and happy about the fact that I’ve not gained much.
So, in the Lambert household we are super excited and have gotten a lot of donations of baby stuff. If you’d like to donate any gender of clothing I know plenty of needy new mommies out there that can use boy or girls clothes. You can email me at annette(dot)m(dot)lambert(at)gmail(dot)com — This is how we stay green and pay it forward. We reduce, reuse, and recyle my friends!
