Every new year we decide it is a good time to start over.
Well that is what I am doing. All of my past failures and successes are now behind me and I’m starting at zero. Those that know me and have known me for any period of time, know that I have struggled with my health, my weight, and overall self esteem. This year is the time to change that. This year I am going to make it a point to stick to what I want to be. At the first of the year, I decided I would count calories and see how it went for a couple of weeks. Well, I counted calories and needless to say that it did not work. I am not happy with the non-progress I have achieved. I actually gained 3 lbs instead of losing any at all. So, I decided that since I am borderline diabetic, and the only thing that worked really well and made me feel well was the low carbohydrate diet that I was on for a while. The only downside to this is, it is very restrictive. I’m not a fan of restriction, but ever since I re-incorporated wheat back into my diet, I gained 20 or so lbs, my skin especially the eczema on my face has flared up and I’ve just become incredibly bloated feeling. I’m going to try to stay on the low carb diet and not go full Paleo or HFLC since it is even more restrictive than just low carbing. I’m not sure that I actually have any followers on my blog, but I am going to try and keep track of my food intake and see what I get.
But, today we went to the park and walked around and played. That is our other goal, to try and get out of the house more and less of the sitting on our butts. If the weather isn’t good or I’m not up to being out in public, then I am going to make it a point to play some wii fit at least for 10 minutes a day. Let’s see where that gets us. Hoping for positive results!
